Dear Vrisayda,
Thank you for giving me the mental strength and confidence
to climb Mt. Rainier. It was a great feeling reaching the
summit but I knew, weather permitting, we would get there. Turning
back was not an option. Looking forward to seeing you in connection
with our next adventure. Maybe the Boston Marathon(?).

I have had the pleasure
of working with Vrisayda Porshu Boggess, BCH, Ph.Dc, Certified Clinical
& Medical Hypnotherapist, on several occasions. I needed to have
Surgery but was very scared because my sister had died on the operating
table. Vrisayda helped me to overcome my fears. On the morning of
the surgery the nurse took my blood pressure and said, "What did
you do?" I asked her if something was wrong and she told me that
my blood pressure was so low. She said that, "Usually her patients
were begging her for Valium before surgery to calm them down. She
needed to have a hysterectomy and wanted to have Vrisayda do hypnosis
on her before her surgery". My anesthesiologist said he uses hypnosis
when he puts his patients under anesthesia because if they are calm
when they go to sleep they will be calm when they wake. Vrisayda
has also helped me with severe anxiety. My psychiatrist put me on
medication for severe anxiety. I was having trouble breathing. I
could not get enough oxygen. My psychiatrist recommended that I
use hypnosis. I stopped my medication and I am happy to report
that I have no breathing difficulties now thanks to Vrisayda.
Sincerely,
Karla

Dear Vrisayda:
I am writing to you now two weeks since my hypnotherapy session
-with you, every day of which has been smoke free. You know
that I have, over the 25+ years I've smoked cigarettes, quit several
times - once for over a year. But in retrospect, each attempt was
a struggle to keep my mind off cigarettes. I constantly desired
one, even though I had used every conceivable intellectual persuasion
or mental trick I could imagine to dissuade myself. Also in the
past my efforts were aided somewhat by the fact that my husband
quit smoking at the same time. Both of us were successful but only
for a time, and eventually resumed smoking. Not so this time. My
husband has chosen not to quit. Financially, this-was an unquestionable
decision. At roughly 2/3 of a pack a day (my rate at the time I
stopped two weeks ago) t was burning about $15 a week. In 3 months
my savings will have paid for the "cost" of quitting. But I digress.
The primary reason for writing to you is to attempt to explain how
differently my experience this time has compared to previous attempts
to quit. During previous attempts, especially the first few weeks,
because I have always loved the smell of cigarette smoke, being
around smokers while "depriving" myself (which is exactly how I
looked at it) was like torture. My usual reactions were either a
sensation of nausea, or an insatiable craving for one of my own!
For the past two weeks, with the exception of a nearly undiscernibly
twinge or two, almost a subconscious, split-second image of the
experience of smoking, I've had no desire to smoke! I still enjoy
the smell of someone else's cigarette, but I've had no feelings
of nausea. I've not been troubled by what to do with my hands -
or my "spare time." I've also been comfortable around my husband
when he is smoking. My experience thus far has been incomparable
with others. I seem convinced that I do not want to smoke. Although
I am not bothered by the smell, I have no desire to hold a cigarette,
light a cigarette, or taste a cigarette. 'There is no sense of irritation,
urgency, awkwardness or craving - and I feel just great! I suppose
my real reason for writing is to say Thank You!
Fond regards,
Diane

I wanted to call and tell you ...I DID IT! I got that first jump
(out of the plane for sky diving) out of the way. There was NO
FEAR! I actually enjoyed it and scheduled another jump for Monday.
So you can pull out your victory book and put another entry in it.
You did good, Thank you, and thanks. Have a Great Day.

Not only did I release the excess weight, I also quit tobacco, learned
